Jerusalem
On February 10th 2015, Dawson College had the privilege of getting the very successful director Daniel Ferguson to come and give a conference of his movie Jerusalem that is in IMAX theater. He talked about his experiences throughout the making of the whole movie. It took a five years to accomplish this movie. The movie covered the four different religious groups: Jews, Christian, Muslim and Secular. It talked about the Ceremony of the Holy Fire in the Church of the Sepulcher. The mysteries surrounding this ceremony are truly intriguing. How do they light up the fire? It also talked about the Sabbath showcases thousands of people praying. An archeology specialist, Dr. Jodi Magness, was part of the filming for accuracy. To show different sides to Jerusalem, the movie focused on the daily life of three girls. This movie truly seems interesting and I would love to go see it.
